A small preemptive real-time operating system. A portable C kernel - scheduler, memory manager, timers and a full set of inter-task communication primitives - over a thin per-CPU layer and a board support package.

Runs on AArch64, x86-64, RISC-V 64 and i386
Preemptive scheduling, message queues, pipes, mailboxes, events, mutexes, semaphores and software timers
Loads relocatable binary modules at run time - ELF, PE and its own picfmt2 format
FAT12 filesystem on a RAM disk, with a shell to browse it

Version 1.1.0. The prebuilt kernel libtuwa.a for four cores — AArch64, RISC-V 64, x86-64 and i386 — with the manuals, the porting guides and the public headers. TOOLCHAINS.md names the compiler and the exact flags each library was built with, because a board has to be compiled to match. The board support package ships as source, not in this archive. RBT is not part of this release.

KCPP & ICPP

C/C++ compiler, toolchain and interpreter

kcpp compiles C and C++ for small targets and brings the whole chain with it - assembler, linker, librarian, disassembler and the tools that turn a linked image into something a board or a simulator can load. The same binary also runs C as a script.

Register width and address width chosen independently, because real machines do that
Output as .kx, ELF, COFF or PE - the container is independent of the CPU
Position-independent code and loadable modules
icpp: run C in-process with no build step, and a library format with version checking
